Why not begin our food truck journey with the one that was the first to do so in France. We bring to you – Le Camion Qui Fume (the Smoking Truck).
Please remember to check their website for their location as you can find them at various places across the city. We went to try them out at the MK2 Bibliotheque – 132 avenue de France, 75013 Paris. Don’t be surprised to see 4-5 food trucks there! It was easy for us to identify Le Camion Qui Fume for it was the one with the biggest line – that in itself explains its popularity with the locals. Although we reached there at 7pm sharp in order to avoid the queue, we still had to spend around 20mins in the line to get our order; but thanks to the staff – they were really good in getting the orders out.
We had the Bleu (Bœuf, Fourme d’Ambert, Oignons Caramélisé, Sauce au Porto) and the Barbecue (Bœuf, Beignet d’Oignon, Cheddar, Bacon, Oignons Caramélisés, Sauce Barbecue) Burgers accompanied with some crispy and well seasoned fries(do try the mango curry sauce). The burgers were tasty, the patty was cooked to perfection (nice and juicy); one of the bests so far. The bun was soft and fresh, Paris is spoiling us with some good breads for sure!
Thank you Le Camion Qui Fume for letting our taste buds experience some delicious burgers! The cold weather was the only mismatch that evening.
You would definitely spot us there again as warmer weather rolls in!
