‘Au Passage’ – An amazing off the beaten path kinda place
Tucked away in the small and quite street in 11th arrondissment, ‘Au Passage’, a tapas restaurant and wine bar, has always been packed with locals!
I was made to feel very welcome by the excellent-English-speaking staff. He sat me down right next to the wine bar. The menu is written on a massive chalkboard and changes daily. Don’t worry if you don’t speak French, the staff was absolutely gracious and explained EVERYTHING on the menu. The plates ranged in cost from about 6-8 euros for the small appetizers whilst 12-15 euros for the larger plates. There were almost 20 entries and 5 were desserts.
All the 9 plates I ordered were truly amazing. Everything was really fresh and prepared so beautifully and unique. The dessert even made it more an incredible experience. The atmosphere is charged, great place for lively conversation over excellent cuisine and flowing wine.
The restaurant also provides online booking system where you can select date and time.
